Soil-Pac

SOIL COMPACTOR AND STABILIZER

FOR USE IN ROAD BUILDING DUST CONTROL

ACTIVATES NATURAL ACTIONS IN SOIL

  • NON-TOXIC
  • INCREASES SOIL BEARING CAPACITY
  • CONTROLS DUST
  • DECREASES WATER SURFACE TENSION
  • NON-ALLERGENIC
  • NON-FLAMMABLE

GIVES BETTER COMPACTION WITH LESS EFFORT

KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN

SOIL COMPACTION

By decreasing the surface tension of the water, eliminates stratification and dry pockets, promotes deeper penetration of moisture below scarified materials and produces greater depth of compaction. A factor in compaction is that moisture must be thoroughly mixed and evenly distributed, lessening surface tension angular soil particles shift into a more compact density.

INCREASE OF SOIL BEARING CAPACITY

The concentration of Soil-Pac increases the soil bearing characteristics.

EASY APPLICATION

May be sprayed or sprinkled on as an admixture with water.

LONG SHELF LIFE

Store in a cool area in closed containers, will not evaporate or lose its effectiveness.

DIRECTIONS

Soil Stabilization of existing smooth roads for automobile traffic:

  1. Using a concentration of one gallon of Soil-Pac per 1000 gallons of water (1/1000) wet road surface at the rate of 6 sq. yds. per gallon.
  2. Repeat this application later same day.
  3. Using a concentration of 1/3000 wet road surface once a day for the next 3 days at the rate described above.
  4. For maintaining continued dust control, make one application of 1/3000 solution at the rate described above when dust problems return.

Soil Stabilization of existing worn roads for automobile traffic:

  1. Blade road smooth to sub base, pushing material to side of road.
  2. Using a 1/1000 solution, wet the compacted sub base at the rate of a gallon per six sq. yds.
  3. Bring bladed material to optimum moisture using a 1/1000 solution, spread pack over, compact and smooth with heavy roller (rate 1,000 gal of solution treats 35 to 40 yards of earth).
  4. Wet road twice a day for 4 or 5 days with a 1/3000 solution at the rate of 6 sq. yds. per gallon.
  5. For continued dust control, wet road once with a 1/3000 solution at the rate of 6 sq. yds. per gallon whenever dust control is again required.

Soil Stabilization of existing worn roads for heavy truck traffic:

  1. Scarify the top of the material above the sub grade.
  2. Mix cut material to optimum moisture using 1/1000 gallon solution.
  3. Wet the cut smooth surface with the same solution.
  4. Spread wet material back, grade smooth, compact using a heavy road roller and finish.
  5. Follow with 2 applications of 1 gallon to 2500 solution within 24 hours at the rate of 6 sq. yds. per gallon of mix.
  6. If tack coat, seal coat, asphaltic or road oil is applied, fog the surface for 1/2 hour before applications with a solution of 1/2000.

Soil Stabilization of new roads:

  1. Treat the subcompacted sub grade with 2 applications of 1/1000 solution.
  2. Treat all base and sub base material by bringing to optimum moisture content with a 1/1000 solution.
  3. Blade treated fill onto road bed in maximum 6 to 8 inch heights. Spread and compact using sheepsfoot roller. Do not leave surface smooth between heights.
  4. For continued dust control, wet road with a 1/3000 solution at the rate of 6 sq. yds. per gallon, whenever dust control is again required.
  5. If applying tack coat, asphalt or road oil, apply fog spray solution of 1/2000 for 1/2 hour.

Soil Stabilization for structural backfill:

  1. Pre-wet fill to optimum moisture with a 1/1000 solution.
  2. As backfilling starts, sprinkle as needed to assure constant optimum moisture with the same solution. Caution - Do not wet during this process.
  3. Spread and tamp fill to the desired compaction.

Soil treatment for water reservoirs:

  1. Process 6 to 9 inches of topsoil on bottom and sides of reservoir with one application of 1/1000 solution.
  2. Optimize moisture content of soil in loose conditon with 1/1000 solution. Compact with sheepsfoot or pneumatic roller.
  3. Wet the smooth surface complete once a day for three days with the same solution. Do not puddle solution on surface.
  4. Permit surface to dry out before filling water reservoir, allow at least 172 hours.
  5. 1/1000 solution of Soil-Pac will treat 50 cu. yds. of soil.

Dust Control:

  1. Using a solution of 1/500 wet surfaces once at the rate of 6 sq. yds. per gallon of solution.
  2. Repeat when dust problem returns.
